Summer 2016~ Canyon Lake Adventures

This summer we were blessed with a boat to explore Canyon Lake and enjoy some fun in the sun. Sean was a fantastic driver and kept us all safe and happy. We tried our hand with the water tube and some of us tried skiing and knee boarding. Cindy was a pro at the knee board and started doing 360's like she'd been doing them forever (though she had never tried them before). Calais was a little water baby and loved jumping off the back of the boat to Cindy in the water. Trey thought that was awesome and was excited to try it with Sean. Once he went under water, he decided that was enough of that and we couldn't get him to do it again!
He finally did try to ride the tube with Carly and mom though. It was a little tense for him, but he survived and maybe next time he will actually enjoy it. Reed wasn't so sure about it either, but we'll give him credit for pretending to enjoy it to appease him mom. ;)
Ridge and Ty are great on the tube. Ty stands and surfs on it. Lisa tried and it wasn't as easy as it looks. Ty is just awesome!
Ridge tried the knee board and couldn't quite get up. He was afraid the nose would dive him under the water. Hopefully next summer, he can figure it out and enjoy it a little more.
Carly and Lisa peppered, their favorite past-time, and tried the tube and the knee board as well. Car didn't quite get up on the board, but she was tired and not feeling great, so we'll give her credit for trying. She ended up taking a nap with all the bees, under the canopy (on the concrete picnic tables and in the hamock). The hamock is an awesome place to nap! (Can't say as much about the concrete bench with the bees though.) She ended up getting a lot of sun, but unlike all these redheads, she turns a beautiful tan. On the trip with Cindy and Christian, we ended up with a pretty rainstorm. It was a little chilly on a warm day, but ended up making a beautiful sky to glide the water under.
We are so grateful for the opportunity and blessing to have a boat and grateful for this handsome hard working man who made it possible and is so willing to drag us all over the water.
