Just some random photo's

Ty and his cousin Porter at the Easter Egg Hunt. They're "Best Fuwends!"
Carly and Ridge with Ben and Hunter (cousins). We love our cousins! I am so happy that we live out here by them! (Not close...but closer than Florida!) We miss our FL, GA, and CA cousins now!
Family at Carly's 7th Birthday Party. The kids helped decorate the cake and Carly requested pink and purple streamers and we tied animal balloons. (Have you ever tried this? It's addicting, not to mention fun for your kids to play with...a cheap rainy day activity. My boys LOVED the swords we made them! By the way...if you do choose to do this activity, definitely use an air pump to blow up the balloons!)
That's Carly behind all that fanfare! She had a blast on her birthday! It's so fun to watch her grow into a beautiful young lady. I'm having growing pains though...she's growing so fast and it's making my heart ache just a little!
Ridge and Ty...a few months back...doing what they love...playing SUPERHERO'S! (That's another fun thing to try! Play with your kids for a minute, using your imagination to be something you're not! They will love you for it...and it's free! But you know what? It's probably one of the greatest gifts you can give your kids...a little time playing together, in-the-moment! Priceless memories that will last a lifetime!)

Argh! What's a Mom to do?

Tonight, after putting our 2 year old son to bed TEN times...no joking...he came back into our room. I sent him back to bed but he just stood there babbling at me and pointing at all the important things he really needed to talk to me about.

"Mom, what is this?" he said, pointing at my shoe. "What's your name?" "Is this your belt?" "Why is this your shirt?" Between all of these questions, I would answer him and then add, "Now, go to BED!" Finally, I said, "Go to bed or I'm going to spank you!"

Do you know how my two year old responded?

He laughed and said, "I want spankins!" I had to ask him to repeat himself because I couldn't believe my ears! When he repeated his answer with a grin, I had to follow through, so I swatted him twice on his rear, and then... he LAUGHED AT ME! My two year old LAUGHED AT ME while being disciplined!

(Sean and I were so shocked. I know this sent the wrong message, but we couldn't help it. We laughed so hard we cried...but we were both thinking...Ohhh man, we're in BIG trouble!)

Project completed!

Yeah, I'm done! I LOVE when I complete a project! I am the kind of person that likes to complete a project in one day, so when they are spread out over time, it drives me C.R.A.Z.Y! When they are done though, it's a major feeling of accomplishment.
When we moved into this house, I needed a bookshelf for the kids and thought I could make it cheaper than buying it. So I made one of these bookshelves many months ago (made it for around $5.00!) and needed another one to match. I finally gathered enough supplies to make it and started on it last week. (Whew, this has been a long project!) But I can finally check it off my list!
Some fun time while mom was working on her project. I was cracking up at Ridge sitting in my tray. I went to take a peek at what he was doing. He had the bears getting married in the "flower garden". The close up picture is them kissing...he didn't know I was watching...sweet.

Kids say the funniest things...

The weather is so nice outside so we have the windows open to let the cool air in. I'm staying up late as usual, to have some "quiet" mommy time. But, for some reason I have two little critters playing and reading books beside me:

Ty is laying on the ground next to me and a motorcycle just drove by. He looked at me and asked, "Mom, did I just fart?"

Just one minute later, he comes to me and his pj's are falling down. He asked me to tell them to stop falling down...so I did...and he walked away happy.

Just one minute later, he asked me for cottage cheese in a cup. Ridge said, "Mom, Ty wants coffee in his cup!"

So much for quiet mommy time! Giggle, snicker!
